Hannah was said to have been persuaded by her brother Thomas H. Jeremiah
to join him in America. She was then named Scull, so evidently had
married and (presumably) been widowed. Scull is a most unusual name, and
it is more likely to have been Scully. There was a family named Scully in
the Llangyfelach area at the time.
Hannah was not living with the Bassett household (her mother and
step-father) at the time of the (April) 1881 census.
