Thomas first appears in the Llangyfelach Parish Register as being
christened on 7 August 1815. He is next seen as the 25 year-old son of
Thomas and Ann Jeremiah, living with them in John Street, Swansea. By the
time of the 1851 Census his parents appear to have died or otherwise left
the scene, for they do not appear in the Glamorgan records. Thomas,
however, is to be found living in Jockey Street, Swansea, with his wife
Bridgett (age 35) and children Ann age 9, William age 4, and Catherine
age 2. His age is given as 38 and his occupation as Porter.
