Born in a small house called Rock Cottage in a small village where her
father was the police constable.
Family tradition was that she was a singer in the choir of Chester
Cathedral.
After marriage of her daughter lived with her and her husband in
Abertillery until her death in the severe winter of 1947. Buried in
Rhayader churchyard.
