David fell from an apple tree when a boy and suffered brain damage. Left
mentally disabled for the rest of his life, he lived with his brother
Richard and the latter's wife Rose. His death certificate records him as
a Farm Labourer who died from a cerebral haemorrhage at Woodfield House,
Mynyddislwyn, Monmouthshire in the presence of John Hopkins (Rose was a
Hopkins).
