DENDY / EVANS FAMILY CEMETERY
Johnson County, Texas

Four graves have been confirmed on unimproved private land in southern Johnson County near Grandview. Call 817-641-9580 (adjoining landowner at 5525 CR 305) for access information. All 3 stones are broken and on the ground, but their bases remain. Some are marble. No other gravesites are marked, nor is there evidence of a structure in the area. At one time it is believed a fence ran between the Evans and Dendy stones as if the deceased may have lived on adjoining land. Local stories say a "stage road" ran through there. Several Dendy� and Evans families appear in the 1880 census (Johnson and Ellis Counties), but none have been found that agree with the ages of those listed below.
