The Margarita McNulty and David H Smith Family in the St Joseph Church, South Bend, Indiana and other Records

Margarita McNulty was the daughter of James McNulty and Margaret Whelan.

This is a work in progress!

Please contact me if you feel that you are related to this family or the McNulty line so we can share information!

Special note on this family: I have been fortunate enough to hear from the grand daughter of David Henry Smith and Margaret McNulty. According to this descendent, Margaret McNulty died giving birth to her daughter Lillian Smith Light (their only child). This would explain why Margaret wasn't mentioned in the obituaries of her parents and siblings. She confirmed the sisters of Margaret being Sara and Mary. According to my research, Margaret McNulty married David Smith, her sister Sarah married John Kindig and sister Mary married Thomas Hartford. The obituary from father James McNulty lists two daughter as survivors: Mrs John Kindig and Mrs Thomas Hartford of South Bend). Special kudos to this McNulty descendent for sharing this information with me! There is a St Joseph Church Death/Burial Record from August 13, 1894 that seems to indicated a Margarittam Smith (says Maggie McNulty) on the edge of the record. I believe it is related to this family but I don't have the second page of this record.
