The Town of Kinsale, County Cork Ireland and its Colorful Shops

The seaside town of Kinsale in County Cork was my favorite Town in all of Ireland. In 1601 Kinsale was ground zero for a battle between the English and a united Irish-Spanish contingent whom they defeated leading to the "Flight of the Earls" (where many Irish landowners relinquished their land and left Ireland). The combination of colorful shops with flowers spilling everywhere in pots and baskets, great restaurants, important historical ruins (such as Charles Fort on Kinsale Harbor) and beautiful setting make Kinsale a not-to-be missed stop on any tour of Ireland.
