Irish Families in District 11 of the 1851 Huddersfield England Census Records

According to the Registrar who completed the census for district eleven of the County Yorkshire, Huddersfield Civil Parish, town of Huddersfield, this district included "all that part of the township of Huddersfield comprising all the west side of Castle Gate, Denton Lane, East Side Kirk Gate, Boulder Yard, Post Office Yard, East Side Bradley Street, round by the Hope and Anchor Inn to West Side Kirk Gate to the Dog Inn with Clothiers arms Yard and Diana's Dr." District 11 appears to have a higher concentration of Irish immigrants than most districts.

I have highlighted the heads of household in this compilation. Keep in mind that there were many lodgers, visitors living in the households of those that they weren't related to. Entire families are listed as lodgers in the households of others.
