Gahagan (Goaghan, Goghan, Geoghegan, Gaughan) Families in Killala Catholic Parish, County Mayo Ireland with Spouse's Surname O-R
I have only seen the variant Gaughan thus far in both the marriage and baptismal records of this film. The Griffith's Valuation for Killala Civil Parish in 1856 clearly show the variant "Gaughan" present in the townlands of Killogunra, Rathowen West and Townplots West. Unfortunately the earliest records captured on this film are from 1852 and the marriage records cover an even narrower range 1873-1880. Once can only hope that they were married in neighboring Ballina or elsewhere and will be captured in another microfilm!
The Letter "B" listed under event refers to Baptism. If a birth is given, I willl list it under the miscellaneous column.
