Dunguarie Castle, a 16th Century Fortress on the Shores of Galway Bay, County Galway, Ireland

Dunguarie Castle is situated next to Kinvarra, a Fishing Village on Galway Bay. It was built in the 16th century by the O'Hynes Family on the site of a 7th Fortress dominated by Guaire, the King of Connaught from whom it derives it's name.
