Corcorans documented as being born in County Roscommon, Ireland in the 1871 England Census Records

The early years of the England Census records infrequently report the County of birth in Ireland, but notation of more than just the country becomes more frequent from the 1861 census on.

Summary of findings: There are a large number of Corcorans documented as being born in Ireland (no County, Parish or Townland given). Numerous Counties in England are represented but Lancashire and Yorkshire Counties appear to be the most prevalent. It is quite evident that with each subsequent census year, (1851,1861, and 1871) the Corcorans are spreading out into a variety of different Civil Parishes. Corcorans were present in over 31 different Civil Parishes in Lancashire County and more than 15 different Civil Parishes in Yorkshire County. Leeds in Yorkshire and Liverpool in Lancashire seem to have heavy representation of Corcorans that were born in Ireland.
