Brennans (Brannans) documented as being born in County Mayo, Ireland in the 1871 England Census Records

The early years of the England Census records infrequently report the County of birth in Ireland, but notation of more than just the country becomes more frequent from the 1861 census on.

These records will be presented alphabetically by given name.

Regarding the Patrick Brannon Family in Chesterfield Civil Parish, Derbyshire: Patrick Brennon, his wife Mary and son Patrick are listed as being born in Castlegar, Ireland. I have not included them in this compilation because although there is a Castlegar in Kilcolman Civil Parish, Clanmorris Barony in County Mayo there is also a Castlegar in County Galway. Their four other children were born in Chesterfield and Patrick's mother-in-law Mary Fahy a widow from Ireland is also living with them.

I have highlighted the first name in each residence whether it be a head of household, lodger or inmate to help differentiate the groupings.
