- RC Parish: Abbeyleix. Earliest Records: b. 1781; m. 1781; d. 1781. Diocese of Leighlin. The Civil Parish of Abbeyleix also includes part of the Roman Catholic Parish of Ballyragget.
- RC Parish: Aghaviller. Earliest Record: b. Oct 1847; m. Feb 1848. Civil Parishes: Aghaviller, Muckalee (2), Lismateige. Also see Ballyhale.
- RC Parish: Part of Ballyadams in County Laois, records lost. Civil Parish: Rathaspick, diocese of Leighlin.
- RC Parish: Ballycallan (or Kilmanagh). Earliest Records: b. May 1820; m. Jul 1820. Civil Parishes: Ballycallan, Kilmanagh, Killaloe.
- RC Parish: Ballyhale; also Mullinavat (Kilbeacon). Earliest Records: b. Aug 1823; m. 1876. Civil Parishes: Burnchurch, Derrynahinch, Knocktopher, Kells, Kilkeasy. Ballyhale Catholic parish was united with Aghaviller prior to September, 1847.
- RC Parish: Ballyragget. Earliest Records: b. 1801; m. Apr 1856. Missing: b, 1806-1855.
Civil Parishes: Attanagh, Donaghmore, Durrow, Rosconnell, Kilmocar, Kilmenan. About one-fifth of the parish lies in County Laois.
- RC Parish: Callan; also part Ballycallan. Earliest Records: b. Jan 1821; m. Jan 1821. Civil Parishes: Callan, Coolaghmore, Earlstown, Mallardstown, Tullamaine.
- RC Parish: Castlecomer. Earliest Records: b. Jan 1812; m. Aug 1842; missing b/m Oct 1818 to Dec 1828. Civil Parishes: Castlecomer. Portions of Castlecomer were annexed to the new parish of Clough in 1831.
- RC Parish: Clara; see also Gowran. Earliest Records: b. 1779; m. 1778. Civil Parishes: Clara. Prior to 1852 this parish was united with Gowran.
- RC Parish: Clough. Earliest Records: b. 1832; m. 1830; missing b. 1857. Civil Parishes: Castlecomer. In 1831 Clough was first formed as a parish, from the townlands of Aghatubrid otherwise Chatsworth, Clough, Cloneen, Coolaleen, Crutt, Kill, Tourtane and Mooneenroe, formerly part of Castlecomer Catholic parish. In 1840 the townlands of Gorteen and Moonteen were annexed from Muckalee.
- RC Parish: Conahy. Earliest Records: b. Jun 1832; m. Jun 1832. Civil Parishes: Coolcraheen, Grangemaccomb, Mayne, Kilmocar, Odagh. Conahy was first formed as a parish in 1832, out of Ballyragget Catholic parish. In April, 1840, the townlands of Banse, Esker, Kilcollan, Lisnafunshin, Newtown, and part of Maudlin were added from Muckalee. The townland of Inchakill was taken from Conahy in 1840 and added to Muckalee.
- RC Parish: Danesfort and Cuff's Grange. Earliest Records: b. Jan 1819; m. Jan 1824. Civil Parishes: Ballybur, Burnchurch, Danesfort, Ennisnag, Treadingstown, Woolengrange.
- RC Parish: Part of Doonane in Laois. Earliest Records: b. Jun 1843; m. May 1843. Civil Parish: Rathaspick, diocese of Leighlin.
- RC Parish: Dunnamaggan. Earliest Records: b. Sep 1826; m. Oct 1826. Missing: b. Jun 1840 to Apr 1843 and m. Jun 1842 to Feb 1843. Civil Parishes: Ballytobin, Dunnamaggan. Grangekilree, Kilmaganny, Kilree, Stonecarthy. Prior to 1826 this parish was united with Windgap.
- RC Parish: Freshford; also part Ballyragget, see Donaghmore. Earliest Records: b. Jan 1773; m. Aug 1775. Missing: b. Aug 1797 to Mar 1800; m. Nov 1779 to Feb 1801. Civil Parishes:

- RC Parish: Galmoy. Earliest Records: b. Jun 1861; m. Sep 1861. Civil Parishes: Fertagh (2), and the townlands of Coolnacrittia and Glashare. Prior to 1861 Galmoy was united with Johnstown.
- RC Parish: Glenmore. Earliest Records: b. Mar 1831; m. Jan 1831. Civil Parish: Kilmakevoge. Prior to 1846-47 this parish was united with Slieverue.

- RC Parish: Gowran ( see also Clara). Earliest Records: b. Jan 1809; m. Jan 1810. Civil Parishes: Blackrath, Blanchvilleskill, Clara, Gowran, Dunbell, Dungarvan, Tiscoffin. Prior to 1852 this parish was united with Clara.
