The will of Jesse Houchin, late of Helt Township and of Mrs. Rhoda Jones, wife of David Jones of Quaker, this township, were probated at the office of the Clerk of the Vermillion Circuit court here last week. The provisions of the wills follows:

He gave to his wife, Elizabeth Houchin, during life, all his property, both real and personal.

At her death he gave to Joseph E. Malone, Frank Malone, Endora Aikman, Ollie Collus, Claude Malone, and Richard B. Malone, children of his deceased daughter, all together one-sixth of the undivided estate.

To his son, John S. Houchin, the same.

To his daughter, Mary M. Davis, the same.

To his daugher, Mrs. Alice C. Thorne, the same.

To grandson, Orva Booker, child of the deceased son Daniel V. Houchin, one half of the undivided one-sixth.

He also gave to his daughter, Mrs. Alice C. Thorne the coverlet and old family Bible because she has always been the most affectionate and kind to him.

The one-half of one-sixth not given to anyone is to be used to pay his debts. His son Lawrence B. and Joshua Jump were appointed executors, and requested that they be not required to give bond.

The will was made June 12, 1905 and was witnessed by S.E. Scott and C.S. Wolfe.
