Dear Father
The weather is a little cooler but no rain. I had a fine time riding horses yesterday and today. I am
going to sleep at Berthas tonight. Got your letter all right. Well I believe this is all for this time.

Dear Uncle Benny
Since your son Albert is here and has written I thought I would write you a few lines. We are having
nice cool weather now. Quite a change from scorching heat to almost wintertime. Crops are going to
suffer pretty soon if it doesnt rain. Havent had any rain now for about 9 weeks. Uncle I have thought
for a long time I would write. Lost your address. Do you want to sell your share of Grandmothers farm?
If so I would like to buy a home here. And you know someone ought to see after that farm. I suppose
it has grown up in weeds and bushes like a wilderness and while my man is young stock he would
enjoy cleaning up and putting improvements like that. I will either buy your share or sell my share to
you. As I cant think of anything to write Albert seems to be pretty well content. He and my children
are out here in back yard having a nick time. Albert stay here last night. George hasent been over yet.
Albert says he is sick of city life. I tell him he had better come and live with me and be a farmer boy.
I believe this leaves us all well and enjoying life. Hope will find you folks well. Husband is sending
best regards.
Your Niece
Bertha and Earl
