On the William & Clemency Preble Johnson farm, later owned by Dick Gray, one mile west of the Bethel
Church Cemetery and about three miles southeast of Versailles, Ind. are the following graves. The markers from which the above inscriptions were copied have been removed from the graves on the Johnson Farm and placed around the marker erected by the Ripley Co., Ind. Historical Society in memory of Roswell Johnson, the first treasurer of Ripley Co. at the Bethel Church Cemetery. |
