The names herein were put together from various sources found in the office of the Mt. Pleasant Church of the Brethren, formerly known as the Yellow River Church of the Brethren. The accuracy of the records cannot be verified as each pastor of the church had a different method of record keeping. All of the persons listed did in fact attend the church at some time. Most, perhaps all, were members.
The earliest record at the church starts with a ledger in 1921. Names of the members in 1921 are listed and sorted by first letter in the front of the ledger. For the next 45 years names were added to the list as members were baptized or “lettered” to the church. Deaths and departures are also noted.
**Five books of membership transfers were issued by church clerks for departing members.
