Condition:
This cemetery is mowed, maintained, and partially fenced. The old section, near where the church was, is on the east end. Modern burials are on the west end.  Many years ago a lot of the soft limestone tablet stones were stuck in wet concrete.  Just recently this process has been started again.  Over 100 stones have been set into wet concrete.  (This process usually causes the weaker gravestone to break off at ground level.)  Many broken stones were set in wet concrete laying face up.  (This causes extreme weather erosion and also causes the stone to shatter with freeze and thaw cycles.)  Old stones have been replaced with new markers and the old pieces discarded behind the shed.   The new markers only have year dates and no other information.  These extremely incorrect restoration techniques were discussed with the caretaker, who will hopefully change methods.  However, most “restoration” has already been completed.
