A chapter of the Indiana Society that meets in Vincennes, Indiana
The George Rogers Clark Flag, a red and green striped banner commonly associated with George Rogers Clark, although Colonel Clark did not campaign under these colors. The “Clark” flag was made in Vincennes, Indiana, and likely flew over Fort Sackville even before Clark arrived.
The names of the Chapter members in the photograph from left to right are as follows - Seated: Chapter President, Robert Cunningham; Chapter Secretary/Treasurer John West; Chapter Registrar/Genealogist Kenneth Gilkey Standing: Charles Jordan, Justin Thomas, Brent Marchino, Marvin Sweeney, Marshall Miller and John Harrison.
Point Pleasant, West Virginia 2012: GRC President Robert Cunningham is presenting the GRC wreath escorted by State President C. David Betzner and District Vice-President General T. Rex Legler II (carrying the GRC Flag).
The INSSAR Color Guard presented the Colors in Vincennes, IN for the 234th Anniversary (Feb. 25, 2013) of the capture of Ft. Sackville by George Rogers Clark and his men. Photo taken as we were preparing for the ceremony to begin. Four of the guardsmen are members of the GRC Chapter.
On Dec. 30 between holidays and before the end of the year, getting out one more Flag Certficate at Terhunes Inc. - McDonalds in Muncie, IN. Manager Donna Jenkinson receives Flag Certificate from Mark Kreps, INSSAR Flag Chairman on behalf of the George Rogers Clark Chapter, where Kreps is a dual member.

About SAR: The Sons of the American Revolution is a historical, educational, and patriotic "lineage" society comprised of male descendants of patriots who supported the cause of American Independence during the years 1774-1783.
Mission: The purpose of the Sons of the American Revolution is "to perpetuate the memory of those who, by their services or sacrifices during the war of the American Revolution, achieved the independence of the American People".
Description: The George Rogers Clark SAR Chapter is the oldest chapter currently active in the Indiana Society of the Sons of the American Revolution and meets in Vincennes, Indiana.
General Information:
Membership in the Sons of the American Revolution is open to any man of age eighteen (18) years or over, who is a lineal descendant of an ancestor who supported the war for American independence. These ancestors are referred to as Revolutionary War Patriots and include those persons who fought in the military and/or militia, who provided supplies to the American cause, who served on political bodies supporting the Revolution, who signed oaths of support and similar acts.
