I am looking for information concerning my  grandfather, Melvin Albert
Culp, born May 20, 1889, in Elkhart or surrounding area.   His parents
were Melchior Culp and Magdalena Thiel. They were from a Mennonite
family. I cannot find a birth certificate for Melvin or any record of
him being from Elkhart at all.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
