Mrs. Grace Lenora Adams, 59, wife of H.S. Adams, died suddenly Saturday at her home in Three Rivers, MI. Mrs. Adams and her husband spent most of their married life in MIddlebury and Bristol, moving tot Three Rivers last February.
Mrs. Adams was born Dec. 30, 1886, near White Pigeon, MI, a daughter of Harris & Mary Anna Blood. She married Mr. Adams in August 1918.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. George (Violet) Replogle of Goshen; three sons, Don, Dan, and J.D. all whom are serving with the armed
forces in the South Pacific; one brother, Clyde Blood of Middlebury, one sister Mrs. Fannie Bennett of Middlebury. The Rev. Glen Hershberger will
officiate and burial will be at Grace Lawn Cemtery.

Horace S. Adams

Horace S. Adams, 87, who lived most of his life in the Middlebury and Bristol community, died at 10:15am Tuesday at Fairview Hospital, near Centreville,
Mich. He had been in failing health for some time and a patient at the Fairview Hospital since 1956.
Mr. Adams, whose last home address was Route 1 White Pigeon, Mich. near Mottville, was born in Michigan Aug. 14, 1875. He married Grace L. Blood Aug. 24, 1918 and she preceded him in death in 1945.
Surviving are three sons, J.D., Elkhart, Don, Goshen, and Dan, Elkhart: a stepdaughter, Mrs. George Replogle, who lives in Ohio: 12 grandchildren.
Friends will be received after 7pm today at Miller-Yoder Funeral Home at Middlebury.

ANGOLA - Mabel J. Alleshouse, 93, of 1050 W. 485 N., Angola, died at 7:15 p.m. Friday (Dec. 31, 1999) in Carlin Park Nursing Home.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and for two hours prior to the noon service Monday in Carney-Frost Funeral Home in LaGrange. The Rev. John Compton will officiate and burial will be in Flint Cemetery in Steuben County.
Mrs. Alleshouse was born to Pierre Kiles and Jenny Sams on Sept. 14, 1906, in Steuben County and married Russell L. Alleshouse in Steuben County on May 21, 1932. He survives with nieces and nephews. Mrs. Alleshouse was preceded in death by three sisters, Thora Grant, Thelma Shank, and Lora Fair, and a brother, Allison Kiles.
Mrs. Alleshouse owned and operated a flower shop, taught guitar lessons and worked at Grant Furniture Store in LaGrange.
Memorials may be given to the Flint Cemetery Association.

BERNARD L. ANGLEMYER
Bernard L. Anglemyer, 19600 Dubois St., died at 5:30 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after a four-month illness. He was born in Elkhart on May 15, 1911, and had lived all his life in the South Bend and Elkhart area. On July 28,1934, in Lake Wawasee he married Mary Plummer, who survives. Mr. Anglemyer owned and operated the Specialized Brake Service, 902 S. Main St.. Surviving resides the wife are two sons, Roger, a student at North Central College, Napierville, ILL., and Bruce at home; his mother, Mrs. Agnes Anglemyer of South Bend; a brother, G. Virgil of Walkerton, and four sisters, Mrs. Cecil Gartee, and Mrs. Alice Merser, both of South Bend, Mrs. Marjorie Workman of Lakeville, and Evelyn Colpitts of Cleveland. Mr. Anglemyer was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and the Four Lakes Country Club Adamsville, Mich.. Ed Anglemyer is Fatally Stricken, Suffer Seizure in Hospital After two-week Illness
C. EDWIN ANGLEMYER, 50, 504 Carter Road, superintendent of Western Rubber Company, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 6:10 a.m. Sunday at Goshen General Hospital. Mr. Anglemyer was admitted to the hospital April 30 after suffering a mild heart attack while at work. He had previously suffered an attack about four years ago. Mr. Anglemyer died soon after he was awakened by a nurse Sunday morning. He had just commented about how well he felt when he suffered the fatal seizure. Death came instantly. A native and lifelong resident of Goshen, Mr. Anglemyer was well known here. He was an outstanding high school and collegiate athlete and later became a well-known athletic official. Mr. Anglemyer played on the last Goshen High School basketball team to advance into the Sweet 16 in the state tournament and he was a member of the undefeated G.H.S. football team of 1929. Later he starred in football at Indiana University and was listed on a number of All-American and all-Big-Ten teams. As an athletic official, Mr. Anglemyer worked both basketball and football and specialized in football in later years before his retirement. He was considered one of the top football officials in the Northern Indiana area. After his retirement, he became a member of the South Bend Tribune's panel of advisors which selected the outstanding Wast Division football players each fall. Following his graduation from Indiana University, Mr. Anglemyer took a position with the Western Rubber Company on June 3, 1934. He became associated with the company as a part-time employee in 1927. A native of Goshen, Mr. Anglemyer was born July 18, 1911. He married Helen Dewey June 30, 1934. She survives with one son, Bruce, Indianapolis; one granddaughter, and a brother, Hubert, Syracuse. Mr. Anglemyer was an active member of the First Methodist Church, the Elks Lodge and the Goshen Rotary Club. Friends are being received at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Warren Saunders will officiate and burial will be in Violet Cemetery.

FORT WAYNE -- Gerald Jay "Jerry" Anglemyer Sr., 64, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday (July 18, 2001) at Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana.
He was born in Goshen on Oct. 30, 1936, to Noble and Ethel M. (Ketchum) Anglemyer and married Mercedes Bobay on May 3, 1969.
Mr. Anglemyer is survived by two sons, David J. of Indianapolis and Gerald J. Jr. of Harlan; two daughters, Jeri L. Higgins of Indianapolis and Julie A. Anglemyer-Balasundram of Charlotte, Mich.; two stepsons, Ken G. Wilder of Winter Park, Fla., and Frank G. Wilder of Fort Wayne; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his mother of Elkhart; and three sisters, Matilda A. Kline and Alma Burnett, both of Bristol, and Zelda Yoder of Elkhart. Two brothers, Noble Jr. and Michael, one granddaughter and three stepchildren are deceased.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, where the service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
Mr. Anglemyer served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War had worked for three years as a delivery driver for City Wide Delivery.
Memorials may be given to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Allen County Cancer Society.

Marcellus - Former Mishawaka native, George U. Anglemyer, 74, died Thursday Evening in Lee Hospital in Dowagiac.
Mr. Anglemyer was born Dec 4, 1922, the son of William and Emma (Huber) Anglemyer.
He retired from NIBCO Foundry in 1983, after 35 years of work. He was married on May 23, 1943, in Osceola to Lena Rice.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son Thomas of Abilene, Texas and a daughter, Diana Garrett of Bristol. Also surviving are one grandson and a brother, Levi Anglemyer of Goshen. Mr. Anglemyer was preceded in death by brothers, Walter, Elmer and Roy and a sister, Leona Jackson.
Funeral services will be held today at 5 p.m. in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola.
Visitation will be today from 1 to 5 p.m. in the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association. Submitted by Yvonne Schwartz.

ELKHART-Gladys M. Brown Anglemyer, 91, of 1132 Cassopolis St., died in her home at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday (Jan 4, 2000) She was born on Aug. 6, 1908, in Rochester, where she married Francis M. Brown on Sept. 19, 1925. He died Jan. 18, 1970. She then married Walter V. Anglemyer in Goshen on Aug. 14, 1971, and he died Feb. 27, 1997.
Mrs. Anglemyer is survived by three sons, Francis L. Brown of Sebring, Fla., and Larry B. (Jan) and Donald E. Brown, both of Elkhart; two daughters, Mrs. Rodney (Wanda) Swinehart of Edwardsburg and Mrs. Edward (Karen) Kasey of Orange City, Fla.; 30 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Five sons, Dennis, Robert, Marvin, Arlo and Jerry Brown, two brothers and one sister are deceased.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Billings Funeral Home, where the service will be at 10 a.m. Friday. Pastor Robin l. LaRue of Yellow Creek church of the Brethren will officiate and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
Mrs. Anglemyer, a homemaker, was a member of Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren and Ladies of the Moose and enjoyed playing bingo.

Glennard O. Anglemyer, 56 605 N. Seventh St. died at 4;10 p.m. Saturday in Goshen General Hospital where he was admitted Wednesday. He had been failing in health one year.
A native of Goshen, he was born April 07, 1921,to Jesse L. and (Mary Lehman) Anglemyer. He was a member of Moose Lodge, Goshen, Bi County C.B Team and was an employee of Midwestern Rubber Company until he retired in 1972 due to ill health. He was married October 20, 1953, in Elkhart, to Marjorie Sayer.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons Marvin (Lampley) and Danny, both of Goshen, Wayne, Elkhart, and David, Brooksville, Florida; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Hilda) Hufford, Goshen, and Mrs. Velma Granger, Fort Wayne, and a brother, Richard, San Diego, California
Friends are calling today at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home. Paul Stull and John Flora will conduct services at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery.

Harry D. Anglemyer, 88, of 2629 DeCamp court, died unexpectedly in his home Sunday morning.
Mr. Anglemyer was born Nov. 30, 1896, in Nappanee. He married Alberta T. Krise on Jan 29, 1921, in Bristol. She survives, with one son, Richard, Elkhart; one granddaughter; on great-granddaughter and one sister, Mrs. Mable Nelson, Elkhart. One sister and on brother are deceased. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Earl McCall, pastor of Castle United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery. Mr. Anglemyer retired in 1960 from the Metal Forming Co. He was a member of the church and American Legion Post 74. He was in the Army during World War I

The Goshen News May 03, 1987, page 5, Goshen native Hubert R. Anglemyer, 72, 15N. Shore Drive, Syracuse, died at 6:10 am today in his home following a brief illness.
Born October 6, 1914, he was married June 28, 1936, in Goshen to June Logan. He lived his lifetime in the Goshen-Syracuse area, was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge, Syracuse Lions Club and retired as President of Syracuse Rubber Co.
Surviving are Mrs. Anglemyer; a daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Pat) Naylor, West Lake Calif.; a son; Ed, South Barry, Conn; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A brother Ed, proceeded him in death.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 3 and 6 to 8pm.Thursday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:30 am. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery

SYRACUSE, Ind. - Jeannetta June Anglemyer, 85, 500 E. Pickwick Drive, died at 4:50 a.m. today at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse.
She was born in Goshen on July 24, 1912, to Edgar and Mary Ellen (Johnson) Logan. She married Hubert R. Anglemyer on March 28, 1936, in Goshen. He died March 3, 1987. A lifetime resident of the Goshen and Syracuse areas, she was homemaker and a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Pat (Mrs. Douglas) Naylor, Westlake Village, Calif., a son, Ed, Southbury, Conn.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a twin sister and a brother.
Friends may call at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. George Lohman II of St. Andrew's officiating. Burial will be in Violett cemetery, Goshen.

Angler Drowns in Sutter Bypass--Robbins, Sutter County- The body of Kenton C. Anglemyer, 56 of 2485 Boxwood Avenue, North Sacramento was recovered yesterday from the Sutter Bypass where he drowned while fishing for catfish. His wife, Virginia, told sheriffs’ officers he disappeared about 1 AM and she searched for him until 3 AM without result. Undersheriff Harman Ollar and deputies recovered the body at 5 AM a short distance from the chair on which Anglemyer had been sitting. Ollar said Anglemyer apparently fell asleep and toppled into the bypass. The drowned man was employed as a floor finisher for a Sacramento company for 15 years. His body was taken to the Hutchinson Funeral Home in Yuba City.

WAKARUSA - Roy M. Anglemyer, 70, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday at Fountainview Place, Elkhart, Where he had resided the past two weeks. He had been residing in Florida the past 5 1/2 years and previously lived in Cassopolis. On July 10 he came to Elkhart and July 13 entered Elkhart General Hospital. He had been in failing health 12 years. He was born in Elkhart County May 12, 1912. He married Bernice Fry Dec 29, 1935. She survives with two daughters, Mrs. LaMar (Nancy) Stump, Cassopolis, and Miss Darlene Anglemyer, Monticello, Fla.; a son, David, Wakarusa, Levi, Goshen, Elmer H., Belleville, Mich., and George, Elkhart; three grandchildren. One grandchild preceded him in death. He was a former polisher and buffer at the C.G.Conn Co., and also worked at NIBCO in Elkhart. He was a World War II army veteran and a member of the Elkhart Valley Church of the Brethren. Elkhart Valley Church of the Brethren. Friends any call after 6 p.m. Saturday and all day Sunday at the Leinhart Funeral Home. His body will lie in state one hour prior to services at 10 a.m. Monday at the Elkhart Valley Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Wilmer Brubaker, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Lawrence Bratton, pastor of Riverside Bible Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Zelda Anglemyer, 93, formerly of 1807 Westplains Drive, Apt. 2A, died at 3 a.m. today at Greencroft Nursing Center, where she had been admitted Oct. 10.Born Zelda Shue on July 6, 1892, she married Frank Anglemyer June 14, 1926. He died July 19, 1937. She was a retired clerk from the former Hotel Truex, Elkhart, and a member of the Paris Church of the Brethren. She is survived by nieces and nephews. There will be a private family visitation. Public funeral services are Monday at 1 p.m. at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home. The Rev. Arlin Claassen, pastor of the New Paris Church of the Brethren, will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart. Pallbearers will be Clyde Weirick, David Fox, Dale Lee, Ray Leatherman, Donald Juday and Bill Juday. Memorials may be directed to the New Paris Church of the Brethren building fund.

On Sept 26, 1951, in Osceola, Ark, he married Mila M. Roberts. She survives with tow daughters, Joyce M. Muffey and Margaret R. Baldwin, both of Elkhart; a son, Jonas C. of Elkhart; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Orville of Cassopolis, Herbert of Jones and Perry Jr. of Mottville. MRS. LEVINA JANE ARNOLD
(1933) Mrs. Levina Jane Arnold, 73, a resident of New Paris for nearly 70 years, died Sunday morning in New Paris at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Addison Swartz. Her death was caused by a hemorrhage, suffered last Friday.
Mrs. Arnold, the widow of John Arnold, who died in 1930, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Himebaugh. She was born on Mar. 22, 1860, in Ohio, coming to New Paris when a small child. She had been a member of the Church of the Brethren for half a century.
Mrs. Fred Schrock, of Goshen; 2 sons, Melvin and Roy Arnold, both of New Paris; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 4 brothers, Norman Himebaugh of Lansing, Mich; Walter Himebaugh of California, and Henry and Townsend Himebaugh, their whereabouts unknown. Funeral at the Swartz home and the Maple Grove church at 2:00. Burial in the church cemetery.

Nathaniel Atland, 70, died at 1:00 this morning at his home in Syracuse following a several months illness of Kidney trouble. The deceased was born in York county, Pa. And is survived by a brother, Jacobs, of Syracuse, a brother Abraham, and a sister, who reside in the east. Funeral in the Syracuse Lutheran church. Burial in Benton cemetery. (Nov. 29, 1931)
