Do I have to buy a uniform?
Only if you would like to join the Color Guard. The Indiana SAR Color Guard does not require members to obtain a standardized uniform. Members are encouraged to research and acquire the uniform or dress of their Revolutionary War patriot ancestor(s). Either regimental or field dress is appropriate as long as it is historically accurate.
What events does the Color Guard participate?
The Color Guard participates in:
Educational School Programs throughout the State.
Patriot Grave Marking Ceremonies.
Parades and Celebrations.
Living History Encampments.
SAR, DAR, and CAR Sponsored Events.
