LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF HERMAN GRUETER
In the name of the Benevolent Father of all Amen!
I, Herman Grueter, of the Town of Waterloo, County of DeKalb, and State of Indiana.
Being or sound and disposing mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my
Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making null and void all other Last Wills
and Testaments by me made heretofore.
FIRST. My will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid out or my
estate, as soon after my decease as shall be found convenient.
My will is, that I be buried in the Waterloo Cemetery at Waterloo, Indiana. And if I
am buried on the lot where my Father and Mother are buried then it is my will that a
suitable marker be placed at my grave and a suitable inscription be placed on the
tombstone that is now on said lot. And in case I should not be buried on the lot
aforesaid on which my Father and Mother are buried, then it is my will that a suitable
lot be purchased in the Waterloo Cemetery, at Waterloo, Indiana; and that I be buried thereon and that a tombstone be placed on said lot to mark the burial place, and that
the tombstone shall cost not less than Three-Hundred (300) Dollars.
SECOND, I give devise and bequeath to my Nephew, Fern Grueter, the sum of Two Thousand
(2000) Dollars.
THIRD, I give devise and bequeath to my Nephew, Russell Wittmer, the sum of Two Thousand
(2000) Dollars.
FOURTH, I give devise and bequeath to my niece, Pearle Wittmer, the sum of Two Thousand
(2000) Dollars.
FIFTH, I give devise and bequeath to my niece, Henrietta Wittmer, the sum or Two Thousand
(2000) Dollars.
SIXTH, I give and bequeath the residue or remainder of my estate, both Real Estate and
Personal Property or Mixed Estate, to my two Brothers and Sister whose names are as
follows to wit; Henry Grueter, William Grueter and Emelie Wittmer, each to share and
share alike, that is each to have an equal share.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I hereunto set my hand and seal to this, My last Will and
Testament, at Waterloo, DeKalb County, Indiana. This 30th day of December A.D. 1915.

The foregoing Instrument was signed by the said Herman Grueter, in our presence and-
by him published and declared as and for his Last Will and Testament, and at his request
and in his presence and in the presence of each other, We hereunto subscribed our names
as Attesting Witnesses, at Waterloo, Indiana. this 30th day of December A.D. 1915.
