In my effort to trace descendants of my eastern ancestors (in MD, VA and WV) to the Mid-Western states (KY, OH, IN, IL, IA, MO, KS, and NE), I began a project called TRAKWEST, identifying families from those eastern states in counties of the Mid-Western states. I have been surveying county histories, census records, and biographies on the Internet, and attempting to tie those families to the eastern states, and vice versa.
Information from Ogle County has been completed and available at the site. In keeping with the spirit of USGENWEB and free genealogy, the information is free.
