VORTMAN, ANNA MARIA REBBE

Anna Maria Vortman, 82, of Bluffs died Thursday morning at Passavant Hospital. She was born in Scott County June 23, 1898, daughter of Henry and Mary Meier Rebbe. She married Elmer Vortman Feb. 23, 1921, and he died in September 1955.

Surviving are two sons, Norman and Virgil, both of Bluffs; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, William Rebbe of Bluffs; two sisters, Elizabeth Lovekamp of Bluffs and Mrs. Louis (Amelia) Boehs of Jacksonville.

Mrs. Vortman was preceded in death by two sisters.

A Braille writer of religious materials, Mrs. Vortman was a member of the Willing Workers and Trinity Lutheran Church, east of Bluffs.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday at the Williamson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m.

Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church 2 p.m. Sunday with interment in the church cemetery.

Memorials are directed to the church.
