Bluffs, July 26-Henry Rebbe, 74, a well known farmer of the Bluffs community died early Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elmer Vortman, who resides three miles east of Bluffs.
He was born in Germany and came to this country at the age of 14. He had lived near Bluffs for the past ten years. He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife and the following children: Miss Minnie Rebbe, William Rebbe, Mrs. Elmer Vortman, Mrs. John Lovekamp, and Mrs. Louis Boehs of the Bluffs, Neelyville and Exeter communities; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Lossau of Binger, Okla., 11 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
One daughter Mamie preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the residence and at 2 o'clock at the Neelyville Lutheran church. The pastor, Rev. Deterding will officiate. Burial will be in the Neelyville cemetery. Songs will be sung by Amelia Muehlhausen and Alvin Middendorf with O.A. Schuette as accompanist

Carl H. Pahlmann was born in Scott County October 15, 1908, son of Herman and Mary Magelitz Pahlmann. He married Bertha Vortman April 18, 1933, and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter Louise, at home, and his mother, of Bluffs. Five sisters and three brothers survive: Marie Pahlmann, Mrs. Roy (Anna) Vortman, Mrs. Leo (Emma) Nortrup, and Clarence Pahlmann, all of Bluffs; Henry Pahlmann, Chapin; Herman Pahlmann, Wood River; Mrs. Norma Schuessler and Mrs. Frank (Doris) Baptist, both of Mt. Sterling.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, numerous church organizations and Scott County Farm Bureau.
