Bess Flynn, 87, once of Scott, dies
WINCHESTER -- Bess Flynn, 87, of Springfield and formerly of Scott County, died Saturday morning, Sept. 22, 1990, at her residence.
She was born July 14, 1903, in Scott County, a daughter of James and Lillie Taylor O'Donnell. She married William Flynn on Feb. 14, 1930, in Winchester. He died in 1974.
Surviving are four daughters, Joan Dodge Hodde, Patricia Hanken, Marjorie Elchlepp and Judy Flynn of Athens; and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Flynn was a Member of Christ the King Church in Springfield.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Winchester with burial at St. Mark's Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 3:45 p.m.
