Mrs. Annabel Simmons
Jacksonville, March 9, - Mrs. Annabel Simmons, wife of C. W. Simmons of Manchester, died Wednesday at Our Saviour's Hospital after an illness of five weeks.
Decedent is survived by her husband, two daughters, Misses Lois and Louise Simmons, of this city, and one son, Carl Simmons, of Roodhouse. Also Surviving are one brother, Harry Lemon, of Murrayville and four sisters, Mrs. Harry Ruyle of Manchester, Mrs. Cora Smith of White Hall, Mrs. Jessie Curtis of Waverly and Mrs. Florence Whitlock of this city.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Manchester Methodist Church in charge of Rev. O. W. Shields, assisted by the Baptist pastor, Rev. Garfield Rogers. Burial will be in the Manchester Cemetery.

ROODHOUSE - Carl T. Simmons, 85, of Roodhouse, died Wednesday evening, Oct. 12, 1994, at Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.
He was born Nov. 2, 1908, in Murrayville, the son of Cary William and Anna Belle Lemon Simmons. He married Mary Clark Dec. 26, 1935, in Nebo. She survives.
He is also survived by two sisters, Lois Turley of Rock Island and Louise Bushnell of Moline.
Mr. Simmons was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Roodhouse. He was a carpenter and construction worker in the Jacksonville and Roodhouse area for many years. He was a member of the Hillview Masonic Lodge and Modern Woodmen of America.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Manchester Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Roodhouse, where Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Emmanuel Baptist Church or the American Heart Association.
