BEARDSTOWN
Debra Johnson, 47, Beardstown, died Monday evening, March 25, 2002 at her residence.

She was born July 18, 1954, in Peoria, the daughter of William Robert and Julia Wys Johnson.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Julia and George Anderson of Beardstown; three brothers, William P., of Peoria, Kevin E. of Metamora, and Lawrence D. (wife Melissa) of Meredosia; one sister, Bonnie J. Turner of Jacksonville; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Johnson, in 1970, and her brother, Roy Scott Johnson, in 1969.

Ms. Johnson attended Pathway School in Jacksonville and graduated in 1975 from Graham School in Jacksonville. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Lighthouse Church in Beardstown. She loved to make crafts and was quite skilled at knitting and crocheting. She made many afthans for her family and friends. Her greatest joys were her family, going to church, and making crafts.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Lighthouse Church in Beardstown with burial at Fairview Cemetery near Bluffs. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown with family meeting friends from 5-7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Lighthouse Church in Beardstown.
