HORTON, WILLIAM H.

William H. Horton of Manchester dies

ROODHOUSE- William H. Horton of Manchester died at 7 a.m. Monday at his residence. He was 78 years of age.

He was born March 20, 1898, son of Elmer and Mary Cade Horton. He married Cecile Potter November 21, 1960. She survives with the following children: Mrs. Robert (Mary Lou) Coleman of Springfield, LeRoy Horton of Milan, Mrs. James D. (Helen) Baird of Manchester and William Horton, Jr. of Rapids City; stepchildren: Flossie Lee of O'Fallon, Missouri, Chester Hefner and Mary Myers both of Overland, Missouri, and Marlene Tullock of St. Charles, Missouri.

There are 12 grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren and 12 great step-grandchildren. One brother, Edwin Horton of Jacksonville, survives.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

The remains were taken to the Mackey-Daws Funeral Home in Roodhouse. Arrangements are incomplete.
