LOVEKAMP, CLARA MARIE MAGELITZ

Mrs. Clara Marie Lovekamp widow of Martin Lovekamp, died at Passavant Hospital Saturday morning at 7:35 a.m. Mrs. Lovekamp was a resident of Bluffs.

She was a native of Scott County, born Oct. 13, 1888, the daughter of Heinrich and Marie Meier Magelitz. She was married to Martin Lovekamp in 1911, and he preceded her in death in 1928.

Surviving are one daughter, Dorothy, wife of Clyde Propeck of Bluffs; three sons, Clarence of Exeter, Earl of Bluffs and Bernard of Tuscola; one sister, Mrs. Mary Pahlmann of Bluffs; three brothers Harmon and Fred Magelitz of Bluffs and John Magelitz of Downers Grove; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Lovekamp was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Bluffs. She was baptized on Nov. 8 , 1888, and confirmed on ___ __ ____. She was member of the Bluffs Legion Auxiliary and the Passavant Aid Society and __ ___________________.

The body is at the Williamson Funeral Home where friends may call from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. The body will be taken to the Trinity Lutheran Church at Bluffs Monday at 1 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at the church at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. James Hawley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.


LOVEKAMP, CATHERINE DORA HEINE

Meredosia- Mrs. Catherine Dora Lovekamp, prominent resident of this community, died at her home northeast of Bluffs, Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. Death followed an illness of several months.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church at Neelys.

Mrs. Lovekamp is survived by the following children, William Lovekamp of Bluffs; John Lovekamp of Winchester; Mrs. William Rebbe and Mrs. Carl Littig, both of Bluffs, Miss Norma Lovekamp of St. Louis.

Her husband and the following children preceded her in death, Ben, Martin, Paul, Dora, and Verna.

Funeral services will be held at the Lutheran church at Neelys, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. John Deterding officiating. Burial will be in the Neelys Lutheran Cemetery.

The body was taken to the Schaeffer Funeral Home and will be returned to the residence Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
