DEATH OF AN OLD CITIZEN

A.S. Neal, for forty years or more a resident of Morgan County, died at his home at Manchester, on Saturday, at the age of 80 years. He settled in this county in the early days, and remained until the last, raising a family of four sons, whom he leaves. Mrf. Neal joined the Presbyterian church while yet in his younger days, and was a member at the time of his death. During a lifetime almost, in one community, he won the respect and kind regard of others, that but few obtain: The funeral occured on Monday, at the Methodist church, at Manchester, Rev. F. W. Short, of this city, conducting services. [Andrew S. Neal was born in Kentucky in 1793 and died November 9, 1873]
