CUDDY, EDWARD FULTON

E. Fulton Cuddy Dies
At Hospital Friday

Edward Fulton Cuddy, well known resident of Manchester, passed away at the Passavant hospital in Jacksonville, Friday, December 13, 1946. His age was 60 years, 5 months and 13 days.

Mr. Cuddy was born on a farm near Manchester, June 30, 1886, the son of the late M. Thomas and Ada Clark Cuddy.

He leaves to mourn his loss his mother, Mrs. Ada Cuddy of Roodhouse, his wife Etta Day Cuddy whom he married September 15, 1907; three daughters, Mrs. Christopher Walker, Roodhouse; Mrs. Ralph Henry, Jacksonville; Mrs. James A Gordon, Manchester; three grandsons, E. Thomas and F. Dale Walker and James C. Gordon; one sister, Mrs. Alice Smith., White Hall. His father and one brother Buell L. Cuddy preceded him in death.

Mr. Cuddy was an extensive and well known land owner in Scott, Green, Morgan and Jersey counties. He became a member of the Manchester Methodist church in his early manhood. He was a man of very cheering disposition, always trying to help someone along the way, a loving husband and father, and one who will be sadly missed.

Funeral services were held at the Reeve Memorial Home in Roodhouse at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, conducted by Rev. C.L. Leitze, pastor of the Lynnville Christian church, assisted by Rev. C.A. Sullivan of Jacksonville.

Rev. Ralph Fitch of Roodhouse sang Sweet Peace, The Gift of God's Love and Sunrise, accompanied by Mrs. Chas. Heaton of Manchester.

Casket bearers were Chas. S. Heaton, Earl Blackburn, Elmer Sooy, Chas Travis, Earl Clark and Carey Andras. Honorary casket bearers were James M. Orr, Robert Robson, and James Walker.

Burial was made in the Manchester cemetery.

We take this means to express our sincere thanks fo the man kindnesses and acts of sympathy at the time of the death of our loved one. Also for the beautifull floral offerings. Use of cars, and all assistance at the funeral. We also appreciate all the help that was given us at the home.
