Florence Marie Metternich, 98, lately of Schaumburg, and formerly of Bluffs, Winchester, and Pittsfield, died Monday, April 23, 2007, at Friendship Village in Schaumburg.

She was born September 14, 1908, in Bluffs, the daughter of Henry and Ann Hobrock Kilver. She married Allen Metternich and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by one brother, Harold; daughter-in-law, Jo Ann; grandchildren, Roger and Linda Metternich, Susan (husband, Rich) Neumuller; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Matthew Neumuller; nephews, Bill (wife, Jan) Knudsen, Don (wife, Carolyn) Kilver and Tom Kilver; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Metternich was preceded in death by her husband, Allen; one son, John; one grandson, Craig; and one sister, Fern Knudsen.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2007 at Mackey Daws Funeral Home in Bluffs with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery near Bluffs. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to St. John�s Lutheran Church in Bluffs.
