MRS. PANSY WILCOX IS TAKEN BY DEATH

Mrs. Pansy Wilcox, 32, of Bluffs, wife of Hardy Wilcox, died Thursday afternoon at Illini hospital in Pittsfield, where she had been a patient for one week.

The Wilcox family, who resided in Pike county for about three years, had recently returned to Scott county and had been living on a farm in the Naples community.

Mrs. Wilcox was a native of Waverly and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dennis of Pittsfield. She was married to Mr. Wilcox on Oct. 15, 1932.

She is survived by her husband; her parents; four children, Paul, Mary, Frances and Louise, all at home; four brothers, Lando and Wesley of New Canton, Julius of Murrayville and Leslie of Philadelphia, Mo.; and four sisters, Mrs. Goldie Cox and Mrs. Marie Bowers of Pittsfield and Mrs. Pauline Stark and Mrs. Hester Farrin of Jerseyville.

A son preceded her in death.

Mrs. Wilcox was a member of the Oxville Methodist church.

Services were held Saturday at 2 p.m., at the Bates Funeral Home in Bluffs, with Rev. john Watson, formerly pastor of the Oxville church officiating. Burial was in Green cemetery.
