Mrs. Elmer Walker Dies Thursday at Her Residence Here

Death Occurs After Extended Illness; Funeral to Be Held Sunday

Mrs. Elmer Walker passed away at the home of her son, Frank Walker, 203 West Beecher avenue, yesterday morning, at 8:15 o'clock. Mrs. Walker's death followed an illness of eleven years duration. She was 58 years of age.

Mrs. Walker was born near Exeter, April 10, 1879, and spent most of her life there.

She is survived by her husband of this city, one son, Frank of this city, and a daughter, Miss Olive Walker of Galesburg. She also leaves three step-daughters, Mrs. Everett Smithson of Colorado; Mrs. Thomas Young of Jacksonville and Mrs. Bert Sorrells of Granite City, and one brother S. C. Berry of Chapin.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Exeter Christian church. Burial will be in the Gillham cemetery. The body is at the residence.
