MATHEWS, BERINTHIA CLARK

Mrs. Berinthia Mathews passed away Friday evening at 8:30 O'clock. Deceased was born in Geneseos, N.Y. February 24, 1828 and was 91 years old at the time of death.

She was united in marriage in Scott county to Cyrus H. Mathews in 1859. She is survived by the following children: MIss Mary Mathews, Scott county; John C. Mathews, Montrese, Colo.; Harry C. Mathews, Exeter. She also leaves five grandchildren and three great grandchildren and three sisters and one brother: Mrs. Ocea Day and Miss Hulda Clark, River Falls, Wis; Mrs. Fannie McHenry, Stockton, Calif., and Oscar Clark, Exeter.

Mrs. Mathews was a member of Central Christian church in this city. During her long life, she was ever coninsistent in her worship and a woman highly regarded by all.

Funeral services will be held from the Christian church in Exeter Monday morning at eleven o'clock. Burial will be in Gilham cemetery.
