Mrs. Isadore Bobbitt was born Jan 29, 1844, in Washington Co., Ind., and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Newt. Black, at Farmer City, Sunday Dec 8, 1935, after a week's illness with heart trouble. Her husband E.D. Bobbitt, died in 1915, since which time she has made her home with her daughter. Besides the daughter, she leaves one brother, Theodore Bagshaw, of Kansas.
Funeral services were held a the home of her daughter in Farmer City, Monday afternoon, and the remains brought to Scott County Tuesday afternoon, for burial in Gillham Cemetery.
The pallbearers were N.J. Peters, G.R. Berry, Clyde Funk, L.W. Korty, Wm. Hazenkamp, Arthur Bentler.
The flowers were cared for by Mrs. Henry Hitt, Mrs. Fred Slagle, Misses Mabel Taylor and Pearl Korty.
Among those from a distance who attended were Newton Black, Mrs. Edward Boggs, Miss Della Porter and Rev. Bear of Farmer City; Miss Mary Violett Hodkinson, Maurice Bobbitt of Kankakee; Charles Black, Quincy; Mrs. Leonard Black and son Kenneth, Springfield; Mr & Mrs. Ralph Walden, Leroy, IL; Mrs. Sara Bobbitt, Mrs. Bright, Griggsville; G.R. Berry, son Lee, of Naples.
Mrs. Back was unable to attend the burial, owing illness.
