Springfield- Ida B. Schuessler, 93, of Springfield died at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday, Nov 15, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
She was born Nov. 4, 1895 in Bluffs to Charles and Florence Wolford Frohwitter. She married Fredrick Schuessler in 1912. He died in 1941.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Doris) Fischer and Mrs. Robert (Velma) DeWan, both of Springfield; one son, Glen Schuessler of Hannibal, Mo.; two grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; several step-great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son, Wilmer.
Mrs. Schuessler was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Springfield and was a resident of Springfield most of her life.
The body will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church in Springfield. The body will also lie in state from 1 p.m. until the time of a second funeral service at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bluffs. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffs. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Staab Funeral Home in Springfield.
