SCHUESSLER, ANNA MEIER

Mrs. Anna Meier Schuessler passed away in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Vannier Saturday evening at seven o'clock, Dec. 10, 1932, aged 78 years. Decedent, Anna Meier was born in Hanover, Germany, Oct. 5, 1854. In 1868 she emigrated with her parents to America and settled in Scott county in the Exter-Bluffs community. In 1875 she was united in marriage to Herman Schuessler, also an emigrant from Hanover who preceded her in death June 6th 1932. For eighteen years the couple resided in Bluffs where they retired after having spent the greater part of their lives on their farm one and one half miles east of Bluffs. Her illness was of short duration from "flu" and complications. She is survived by the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Maggie Mueller, Mrs. Minnie Vannier with whom she has made her home for the past six months, John Schuessler, Fred Schuessler and Louis, all of Bluffs and Bluffs vicinity. Louis is seriously ill in the Wabash hospital in Decatur and has not been advised of his mother's death.
