Margaret E. Mueller, 97, of Bluffs died Thursday evening March 4, at Skyview Nursing Manor in Jacksonville. She was born in Bluffs Feb. 4 1885, daughter of Herman and Anna Meier Schuessler. She married John H. Mueller in Bluffs Dec 4, 1907, and he died July 25, 1962.
Surviving are a son, Harvey Mueller of Jacksonville; tow daughters; Mrs. Ewald (Irene) Nebel of Galesburg and Mrs. Nina Goodall of Forest City; 17 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Minnie Vannier of Bluffs.
Mrs. Mueller was preceded in death by three sons and a daughter.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bluffs.
Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at the church. Her body will lie in state there an hour prior to services. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bluffs.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Mackey-Daws Funeral Home in Bluffs.
Memorials are directed to the church, Skyview Nursing Manor or the Meredosia Rescue Squad.

Bluffs-Ralph E. "Jiggs" Mueller, 66, of Bluffs died at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
He was born Dec. 5, 1922, a son of Fred H. and Elizabeth Schuessler Mueller. He married Margie Williams on July 28, 1945, in Winchester, and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Burl (Thelma) Fargo of Chambersburg; two grandchildren Clint Fargo of Jacksonville and Debra Fargo of Chambersburg; and two sisters, Bernice Sappington of Woodson and Mrs. Pernel (Caroline) Hutton of Bluffs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Harry Lee and Virgil "Bud"; and one sister Dorothy Alma Mueller.
Mr. Mueller worked for Wabash, Norfolk and Western Railroad for 30 years before retiring. He had been a bridge carpenter and later a bridge tender at Valley City. He was also a World War II veteran, having served in Iceland.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Mackey-Daws Funeral Home in Bluffs, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the service Friday. Memorials may be made to the Bluffs-Meredosia Rescue Squad.

Bluffs- Fred Mueller, of Bluffs, a retired Wabash employee, died at 8:40 p.m. Friday at a Jacksonville hospital.
He was born in Scott County on August 6, 1887, the son of Barney and Elizabeth Hobrock Mueller. He married Elizabeth Schuessler who preceded him in death in 1930.
He is survived by four children, Mrs. Bernice Sapppington of Griggsville and Virgil, Ralph, and Mrs. Pernel (Caroline) Hutton all of Bluffs; and a sister, Mrs. Clarence Seeman of Bluffs. There are five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Mr. Mueller was preceded in death by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
Bates Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements which will be announced later.

John Mueller, an aged resident of Bluffs, died shortly before noon Thursday at Passavant hospital where he was taken Wednesday evening. He had been in failing health several months.
Mr. Mueller was a retired farmer.
Born September 30, 1873, northeast of Bluffs, he was the son of Bernard and Anna Northrup Mueller. He was married to Margaret Schuessler, December 4, 1907, who survives.
He also leaves surviving three sons, Clarence and Harvey of Jacksonville and Raymond of Bluffs, two daughters, Mrs. Irene Neebel and Mrs. Nina Goodall both of Forest City, Ill.; fifteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Edith Seeman and a brother, Fred Mueller both of Bluffs.
He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and nine brothers and sisters.
He was a charter member of St. John's Lutheran church in Bluffs.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the St. John's Lutheran church with Reverend Lyle Sucher officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
Friends may call at the Bates Funeral Home anytime after noon today.
