In the old home at Exeter she grew to young womanhood, when at the age of 18 years she was united in marriage to Edward L. Six, of Exeter, IL. March 20, 1895. To this union were given five children, all of whom are living, name; Inez, Esther, Allan, Harry and Helen.

Besides the husband and children who are bereft of a dear one, she leaves two own sisters, Mrs. Wyatt Simpson of Mt. Borum of Muskogee, Okla., and three half brothers, Walter Armitage of Murrayville, IL., Walker Armitage of Exeter, and Charles Armitage of Waterbury, Connecticut; also five nieces and five nephews.

Having been born and reared in this immediate vicinity, Bert as she was familiarly known,, had formed the life-long friendship of many friends and associates who will sadly miss her.

She was a faithful wife, and a loving, devoted, self-sacrificing mother, her one and constant thought being for the highest interests and best welfare of her children.

While she never openly united with any church, she had the deepest reverence and respect for things sacred and divine, and had expressed a wish that her funeral be from the Christian church in her home town. Not only will she be sadly missed by those for whom she has lived all, and been all, but by a wide circle of neighbors, friends and relatives.

Funeral services were conducted from the Christian church at Exeter, IL. , on Monday afternoon. Rev. H. S. Peak assisted by Rev. M. O. Beebe, officiating. Interment in the Exeter cemetery.
