STALEY, ARNO V.

Staley---Died, Monday, January 25, 1909 at his residence, three miles northwest of Loami, after a few days of illness with pneumonia; Arno Staley, son of Mr and Mrs Daniel Staley.

He was born and reared within two miles of where he and his family made their home, November 4, 1864, and was 44 years, 2 months and 21 days old at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, three children, Miss Hallie, who is attending the Millikin university at Decatur; twin sons, Lloyd and Wain, at home; his parents, Mr and Mrs Daniel Staley of Loami; two brothers, Joseph of Waverly and William of Modesto, and two sisters, Mrs Willis Park and Mrs Charles Wyckoff of Loami.

Mr Staley was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church with his membership at the Chapel church a few miles west of town and was counted as a model man by all who knew him. He was married February, 1890, to Miss Nellie Funk of Waverly, who survives and who was bereft of her only brother, Luther Funk, three weeks ago and it was through caring for the business, making arrangements for funeral, burial and other things at Waverly that Mr Staley contracted more cold to what he already had that caused his death.

He was a member of A F & A M and was junior warden of lodge No. 450.

The funeral will take place Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock, conducted by the Rev J M Johnston of Petersburg. Burial in Oak Ridge cemetery at Springfield.
