Chenery Family
Springfield Journal Register, date of paper which originally published the following is unknown.
"The family of William Dodd Chenery, last host in Springfield of Abraham Lincoln, is shown above.
After renting his home, Lincoln took his family to the Chenery house on the northeast corner of Fourth and
Washington streets, where he remained until his departure for Washington on Feb. 11, 1861. The picture was
taken about the year 1856. Seated left to right: Ann Jane (Mrs. Emanuel Hamilton), William Dodd Chenery I,
his wife, Abigail Partridge Chenery. Standing: Cyrus Edward, John William, Susan Abigail,
Thaddeus Warsaw, Mary Frances, James Henry.
