JACKSONVILLE
Gary Allen Wilson, 60, of Jacksonville died Sunday afternoon, May 19, 2002 at his residence.

He was born on June 29, 1942, the sonof Frank Allen and Orilla Arlone Daigh Wilson.

He is survived by his long-time companion, Roberta Chappell of Jacksonville; two daughters, Serena Wilson of Beardstown and Angel Wilson of Jacksonville; two stepdaughters, Lynn (husband, Lon) Sumpter and Debra (husband, John) Williams, both of Jacksonville; three stepsons, David (wife, Peggy) Dyer of Beardstown and Mike (wife, Melissa) Chappell and Marshall (wife, Heidi) Chappell, both of Jacksonville; six grandchildren; and one sister, Pat (husband, Marshall) Hall of Beardstown.

Mr. Wilson recently retired from the Jacksonville Developmental Center where he had been employed for 23 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Williamson Funeral Home, with burial at East Cemetery in Jacksonville. Friends may call after 11 a.m. today at the funeral home where the family will meet friends from 5-7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the local chapter of B.U.D.S. (Bringing Up Downs Syndrome.)
