1908-2001

JACKSONVILLE
Ola Vivian Willner, 92, of Jacksonville, died Friday afternoon, July 27, 2001, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.

She was born Dec. 10, 1908, in Cave-in-Rock, the daughter of Charles and Etta Foster Smith. She married Frank Willner Dec. 17, 1927, in Springfield, and he preceded her in death, Feb. 26, 1996.

She is survived by three sons, Maurice (wife, Dorothy) and Stan, both of Jacksonville, and Darrell (wife, Michele) of Pisgah; three daughters, Norma Hicks of Jacksonville, Vivian (Husband, Laverne) Jones of Winchester and Rowena (husband, Mark) Kassler of Valley Center, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Eva Harmon of Apion, Tenn., and Audrey Dutton of Harrisburg. She was preceded in death by two sons, Leonard Frank and Everett (surviving wife, Carolyn of Jacksonville); three grandchildren; five brothers, Alvin, Linel, Arza, Newell and Loy; and four sisters, Julia Smith, Lottie Pennell, Zelpha Pennell and Jean Orr.

Mrs. Willner was a homemaker, working alongside her husband on the family farm north of Jacksonville. Earlier in life, she had been employed at the Jacksonville State Hospital and Swifts and Company. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and flowers.

Funeral services will eb held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Williamson Funeral Home, with burial at Jacksonville East Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home where the family will meet friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Cavalry Baptist Church, visiting Nurses of Central Illinois, Jacksonville Branch or to the charity of the donor's choice.
