PITTA

Mrs. Antonia Pitta, widow of the late Feliciano Pitta, whose death occurred about 6 years ago, died at her residence one and three fourth miles northeast of the city, Thursday morning at 8:15 o'clock, as the result of bronchial troubles. She was83 years of age and had resided in this county about 40 years, coming here from the Island of Maderia. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. A. F. DeFreitas, residing near this city, and Mrs. Annie Van Warmer, of East St. Louis. The deceased was a staunch member of the United Portuguese church and the funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock, Saturday afternoon, with the services in charge of Rev. H. A. Stinson. Mrs. Pitta was a woman with great force of character and was ever respected for her upright christian life.
