LARGE, JAMES EDWARD

Large

James Edward Large, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Moses C. Large, died of pneumonia Wednesday afternoon shortly after 1 o'clock at the Red Cross Emergency hospital. The child was born in Jacksonville Oct. 3, 1917.

The funeral service and interment will be in the Jacksonville cemetery at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon.


LARGE, ALICE (FILKINS) EALEY

Mrs Alice Large of 434 Washington street died at Passavent hospitol at 11;30 o'clock,Wednesday morning.

Decendent was the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Burris Filkins and was born in England,July 10,1865 but came to this country when young and practically all her life was spent in this county.

In 1883 she was united in marriage to George Ealey Of Murrayville. He passed away years ago. She was again married in 1913 to Robert large at Hannibal Mo.who also preceded her in death. She is survived by the following children. Mrs.Leonard Crouse, Murryville, Mrs.Ed Hoffman,Walter Ealy and Elanor Ealey, Jacksonville; Mrs Wiley Tendick,Mrs Emma Cora, Oklahoma, MrsJ.B.Harrison,B.F.Large and Lena Large,Jacksonville. She also leaves two sisters and one Brother. Mrs John Leach,Woodson. Mrs Douglas Cox, Bement, and Charles Filkins,Petersburg.

Mrs Large was a member of Centenary Church and was always faithful in her church duties so long as health permitted.She was always ready to aid others in time of sickness and trouble and was a woman highly regarded by all in the community in which she lived.

The remains were removed to the Gillham Funeral Home and prepared for burial and then were removed to the family home in East washington street.Freinds wishing to view the remains may do so at the residence as the casket will not be opened at the church.

Funeral services will be held from Centenary Church at 2;30 o'clock Friday afternoon in charge of the Pastor the Rev.D.V. Gowdy..
