Idelle Urla Kuhnline, 93, of Jacksonville, died early Tuesday morning, Dec. 25, 2001, at Barton W. Stone Christian Home.
She was born Feb. 15, 1908, in Jacksonville the daughter of Frank M. and Anna Goveia DeFreitas. She married Roy L. Kuhnline Sept. 25, 1948 and he preceded her in death May 1983.
She is survived by one son, Elvin W. DeFrates of Jacksonville; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and one brother, Franklin DeFreitas, of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Kuhnline was a clerical stenographer in Jacksonville for many years, working 10 years at New Method Book Bindery, 12 years with the United States Department of Agriculture Farmers Home Administration, and 20 years with the State of Illinois at the Jacksonville Developmental Center. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, American Legion Auxiliary and was an AFSCME retiree.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Jacksonville East Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to her grandchildren's education fund. The Williamson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
