Mary Helen French, 63, of Jacksonville, died Wednesday morning, March 27, 2002, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.

She was born Jan. 21, 1939, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Loyd and Grace Worrell Casson. She married William K. "Bill" Frendh June 20, 1963, in Jacksonville, and he survives.

She is also survived by her parents of Jacksonville; two sons, Brian (wife, Terry) of Belleville and Scott (fiancee, Michel Cunningham) of Springfield; a daughter, Elizabeth (husband, Tim) Fearneyhough of Winchester; five grandchildren; a sister, Dotty Crowder of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. French was a 1957 graduate of Jacksonville High School and had been employed for several years at Bound To Stay Bound Book Bindery in Jacksonville. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Gillham-Buchanan Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with burial at Jacksonville East Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
